FOX Weather is a 24/7 ad-supported streaming service operated by FOX News Media. Launching in October 2021, the platform builds upon FOX News Channel's expansive newsgathering units & FOX Television Stations' added resources with a combined 120 meteorologists for a comprehensive suite of weather products featuring local, regional and national reporting, in addition to live programming. Utilizing multiple radar systems, including an immersive mobile 3D radar, and more than 100,000 HD cameras located around the country, the service offers users an innovative approach to forecasting, including coverage surrounding all weather patterns, from immediate to long-term. FOX Weather is available via foxweather.com, the FOX Weather app on IOS and Android devices, as well as Tubi, Apple TV, Amazon, and Roku, through FOX's Connected TV Apps.

FOX Weather is looking for a Social Media and Distribution Producer to join our team. As the Social Media and Distribution Producer, you will be a crucial member of our Fox Weather team and overall business strategy, helping to produce and promote content for our social media platforms. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and someone who is comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Your passion for weather and social media savviness are bar none!

You will be working an evening shift for this role.

Flexibility is vital to this role! You will be required to be on call, work holidays and shift your schedule as news breaks.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedule, post and produce content for Fox Weather's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube as well as FB/IG stories, all in a fast-paced setting
• Manage paid and branded social media posts
• Evaluate social media analytics and track social conversations around weather events
• Manage push alerts for content and linear stream programming
• Communicate with the Assignment Desk regarding permission for content
• Assist with distribution marketing and curation for third-party platforms

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1-2 years of experience in news, TV, or web
• Strong knowledge of news and science, weather, and space
• Strong editorial judgment
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to self-proof
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work under pressure and post content in a breaking news environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Willingness to learn about content distribution beyond social media platforms
• Ability to work nights and weekends for weather coverage

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Experience with Photoshop
• Experience with video editing
