JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Weather is seeking a Multi-platform Video Producer to join our team. As a multi-platform video producer, you will be a crucial member of our Fox Weather team and overall content strategy, producing content for multiple platforms. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and someone who is comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about visual and audio storytelling with a curiosity about the world around you and you take a proactive approach to learn about it. Additionally, you're creative, insightful and take pride in your work.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with digital content teams to produce videos across multiple platforms
• Use motion graphics, videos, after-effects, or other tools from your 'editor's toolbox' to explain scientific concepts
• Partner with the Weather Presentation department for storytelling ideas, branding, and voice
• Work with Fox Weather reporters and photojournalists to develop visual and audio content for multiple platforms
• Work with the streaming teams to align visual and audio content across multiple platforms
• Write and/or copyedit scripts, headlines, and copy; gather elements and coordinate production with technical staff when necessary
• Publish videos using our content management systems
• Quality check video production - including SEO headlines and metadata
• Develop a unique brand look and feel for Fox Weather visual and audio storytelling

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 2+ years of video editing experience in news, web, or TV
• Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, AVID, video editing, audio editing
• Strong knowledge of consumer market for visual storytelling
• Strong editorial judgment
• Strong communication skills
• Creativity
• Ability to self-proof
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work under pressure and post content in a breaking news environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Excellent storytelling abilities
• Understanding of the lifecycle of a story across multiple platforms
• Strong audience-oriented mentality
