JOB DESCRIPTION

The ''Ingraham Angle'', one of Cable News' top primetime programs, is hiring an Associate Producer. This exciting opportunity exposes you to every facet of news, including several disciplines -- from writing to topic origination. The Associate Producer assists with writing intros and the show open. This unique position allows for a considerable amount of interaction with the show host. The Associate Producer works in a fast-paced environment and can help propel you to a lasting career in cable news.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with drafting multiple intros and writing the opening monologue
• Work on a team that sources and compiles elements that help develop the show open
• Pitch stories and guests for the show and during breaking news events
• Pitch, source, and cut audio and visual elements for various segments

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of news production experience on a national level
• 2+ years of writing for news (either television or publication)
• A thirst for news – always paying attention to the narratives, controversies, and debates driving the news cycle
• Strong editorial judgment and skills
• Familiarity with iNEWS, DALET, VIZ precut is preferred, however, you must be able to learn these skills quickly to succeed in the role
• Ability to work well in a team setting and have the social skills needed to communicate effectively with team leaders, the anchor, and show leaders
