JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Director of Production & Post Technology who will be part of a team that finds solutions that empower creative users and teams within FOX Entertainment. This is an exciting time in the production, post-production, and content-creation spaces. Strap yourself in because we plan on leveraging your expertise across a variety of skill sets and will push you to be a thought-leader to impact the FOX Entertainment future. On any given morning you might put on your technologist problem-solving hat in a conversation about the latest camera workflows or real-time remote viewing solutions and then swap that hat in the next meeting with your ops chops in managing the day-to-day of a team of 75+ editors, audio engineers, and broadcast designers on topics such as payroll, budgeting, scheduling, or recruiting. Your morning might wrap up with your critical thinking and analysis cap discussing the long-term creative technology cloud strategy. You will never be bored and this role can probably never be mastered other than realizing continuous innovation, creative solutions, personal development, and team excellence is an endless pursuit. Your strong communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships with teams is very important. This group works across different departments, advocates for the needs of creative users, and manages several product and technology solutions within FOX Entertainment. A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, qualify and champion the latest solutions and technology in Production and Post
• Partner with FOX executives, post/production stakeholders, and key show crew to support adoption of new technologies
• Oversee and mentor direct technical staff as well as cross-functional staff that is a mix of full time, union, contract and freelance
• Track operational budgets, execute purchases orders, and assist with capital planning
• Serve as a key point of contact for ingest in Content Services through delivery in Broadcast Ops or Distribution relating to any technical needs or support
• Work with HR, Business Stakeholders, and Technology teams for recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training
• Liaise with Production & Post Production teams on technical standards, media pipelines, priorities, content delivery, review and best practices
• Work across teams to identify, implement, and support solutions for creative teams
• Create and manage documentation, diagrams, and presentations for different audiences
• Bring business groups, engineering teams, partners, and external vendors together
• Attend conferences, obtains certifcations, and follow industry trends

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Minimum of 10-years experience as a post-production supervisor, producer, pipeline lead, or similar
• 3 years facility/studio production and post-experience on complex tent-pole theatrical features and/or episodics
• Experience contributing to production and post production products and or standards
• Previous leadership experience developing and implementing pipeline solutions for production/post-production teams
• Experience with image formats, codecs, and containers such as OpenEXR, DNxHD, DNxHR, ProRes, IMF, DCP. etc.
• Prior VFX/Virtual production experience is a plus
• Great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and are well organized
