JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Business Network is looking for a highly motivated, pro-active, and creative Freelance Booking Producer to join the Mornings with Maria team. As the Booking Producer, you will book political and business guests for the show. You will deliver a quality product in a fast-paced 24-hour news environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify top tier guests, cultivate relationships, and manage the booking process
• Find reliable guests/witnesses quickly during breaking news situations
• Organize and produce elements for show segments
• Pitch stories daily; conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on a range of topics
• Monitor the latest news and locate people, images, and sound editorial information via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dataminr, YouTube, and other platforms
• Work closely with the show's producer, talent, and key staff to ensure topical and relevant guests

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 3-5 years of experience in television
• An extensive list of contacts and the ability to find and book high-profile guests, as well as people at the center of major news stories. Flexibility is a must as breaking news or major events warrant
• Strong editorial judgment
• Knowledge of and passion for current events and politics.
• Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings; Experience with iNews preferred, Accurint/VIZ and Lexis Nexis are valuable as well

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
