Senior News Producer

Job Description

WBFF FOX45 has an immediate opening for an experienced, motivated and detail oriented Senior Newscast Producer for the morning news.

In this position, you will take on a leadership role, working closely with the Executive Producer, to help create a forward-looking, impact-driven and dynamic weekday newscast.
On a daily basis, you'll help determine the content and flow of the newscast, produce your own hour of news (generally our highest rated AM hour) and help guide other producers on staff.

You would also fill in as Executive Producer when the EP isn't available, gaining valuable management experience for a candidate who hopes to climb the newsroom ladder.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong writing, communication & leadership skills
• Solid news judgement
• Flexibility & on-the-spot critical thinking
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & consistently meet deadlines
• Creativity with a knowledge of social media platforms and an eye for trends

Experience:
• 3-4 years of previous experience at a commercial TV station
• A journalism degree is preferred; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree
