Investigative Reporter

Job Description

FOX45 News in Baltimore is looking for an Investigative Reporter that's driven and hard-hitting and has an established track record of holding those in power accountable and asking the tough questions.

The candidate would be responsible for researching and developing exclusive and compelling investigative reports for our Operation Crime and Justice brand.

As part of Operation: Crime & Justice, the candidate will:
• Deliver investigations that expose public corruption and public safety concerns.
• Introduce viewers to the individuals directly impacted.
• Analyze data provided by different state agencies.
• Get answers from those who are responsible.
• Successful candidates should know how to develop and maintain sources; pitch and execute investigations that are important to our viewers; dig deeper into data; and utilize public records requests to aid in storytelling.
• The candidate will also be a part of our daily editorial process, contributing to breaking news and continuing coverage.

Experience Requirements:
• Past investigative reporting experience (2-5 years) required
• Considerable live shot experience is required
• Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
• College degree in Journalism or a related field preferred
• Experience as a TV News investigative reporter at a network-affiliated TV station newsroom is required for consideration
