Job Description
WAVY-TV 10 / WVBT FOX 43 is searching for an ambitious and dedicated news anchor. You'll join the number one team in the Norfolk, Virginia market. WAVY has a reputation for winning breaking news coverage, using top shelf technology and resources like the only helicopter in the market, and for getting people answers through our 10 On Your Side reporting.

We are looking for someone who actively engages in all tenets of journalism, especially the call to serve the public. This anchor will be asked to field anchor, report, break news stories and handle long-form content when necessary. You will be responsible for generating sources, enterprising story ideas, and follow-ups. ''Digital First'' thinking is a must. The ability to shoot and edit your own stories is a plus.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience anchoring newscasts at a commercial station is required.

The successful candidate will have strong command of all aspects of anchoring; demonstrates strong news judgment; and is a proven team leader. The successful candidate must demonstrate the desire to put journalistic skills such as newsgathering, writing, interviewing, and ethical decision-making into practice daily.
Overnights, nights, and weekends may be required; candidate must be willing and able to work any and all shifts.
