Responsibilities

Fandango seeks a senior level experienced leader to manage all aspects of the Fandango end to end architecture team for our digital products. The VP of Architecture leads a group of diverse and talented engineers in architectural design oversight across multiple development projects working closely with Business/Product/Engineering/Operations/QE stakeholders at an early proposition stage to shape Technology's approach to support a product/proposition.

This role will require on-going engagement and leadership with their team of architects, software delivery teams, business stakeholders and external partners/3 rd party vendors in defining an appropriate solution to deliver a product or proposition; providing specific expertise and support around key areas such as transactional data workflow, complex 3 rd party system integrations, content management systems, data platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, infrastructure and data security.

Qualifications
• 10+ years experience operating effectively in a technical leadership role where responsible for architectural definition and direction across an estate of comparable scale and complexity

• Proven track record of leading technical groups and developing software engineers/architects

• An ability to be a force multiplier to our software architects and software engineering teams, helping them to make good decisions, avoid (or at least learn from) mistakes and confidently make difficult trade-offs
• An ability to assess the technical detail required to reach a broad diversity of stakeholders from deeply technical subject-matter-experts to non-technical business stakeholders
• A well-exercised ability to cut through complex amorphous problem-domains to isolate the key issues and provide clear, concise, and well-reasoned directions
• Ability to ''look around corners'' for the business, selecting solutions for the long-term strategy
• Exceptional communications skills assisted by an aptitude to produce diagrams and design documents of executive quality
• An ability to assess the technical detail required to reach a broad diversity of stakeholders from deeply technical subject-matter-experts to non-technical business stakeholders
• Understands the needs of business, product, and technology. Demonstrates the ability to apply this knowledge to architectures.
• A multi-discipline technology all-rounder with a broad knowledge of the technologies used within web and media industries
• An enquiring-mind with a relentless interest in wider technology trends and their pragmatic application to business challenges
• An exercised ability to balance and compare costs and benefits of different solutions
• Thrilled to work at the intersection of entertainment and technology, from showtimes and ticketing, to engaging content and home entertainment
• Excited to learn from, teach, mentor, and grow of the software architecture group
• Passionate about software development throughout the entire software life cycle from design and architecture through development, testing, and delivery
• Experience defining technical standards, best practices, and process flows
• Experience with multi-CDN architecture and cloud based deployment on complex and large scale enterprise applications
• Proven track record of designing resilient, scalable, and secure systems at scale
