Job Description

Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Fandango, you'll get to experience working with bleeding edge technologies at a large scale. You are primarily supporting our data platform environment. We are a highly collaborative team that is always striving to improve our automation, performance, monitoring. We need a Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on and expertise in a Linux environment and AWS Cloud. Join our team to work across a variety of brands and products within Fandango, including Rotten Tomatoes, Vudu, Flixster and more!

Responsibilities
• Help improve performance, scalability, and reliability
• Build and maintain distributed infrastructure and automation
• Work closely with BI and data engineering teams to support continuous integration and deployments
• Solve problems quickly and automate processes
• Monitor and improve site stability and performance
• Support our next generation of infrastructure as code and serverless environments
• Develop and deploy data platform infrastructure using Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, bash/python
• Ensure that our data platform conforms with existing SDLC practices and data compliance obligations (CCPA, GDPR, PCI)

Qualifications/Requirements
• 6+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience on Linux and/or Windows platforms
• 5+ years of experience using AWS Cloud in a production environment
• Experience with Continuous Delivery practices
• Understanding of DevOps principles, experience with operational tools (Ansible or Puppet or Chef, Terraform) and best practices for infrastructure and software deployment
• Experience with AWS IAM, EMR/HDFS/yarn/spark, ec2, RDS, s3, lambda, batch and step functions
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Strong scripting skills in at least two languages (bash, python, ruby, perl, etc.)

Desired Characteristics
• Passion for monitoring and metrics
• Working knowledge on relational databases (RDS Aurora/MySQL, Postgres, Redshift, etc.)
• Working knowledge on NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase, etc.)
