Job Description

At the direction of the Executive Director of the Las Vegas Bowl/Vegas Kickoff Classic, the Senior Manager of Events will be responsible for operational and logistical management of the Las Vegas Bowl and Vegas Kickoff Classic; marketing/PR assets, community outreach and partnerships and all annual and bowl week events. Additionally, the Senior Manager assists with a variety of responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, game day operations, pre and post event maintenance, support of corporate sales assets, interaction with conference and team officials, team travel and event coordination and strong understanding of event budgets.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage and execute all Las Vegas Bowl annual events and maintain targeted event budgets

• Responsible for developing schedules and timelines that meet operational and budgeted goals
• Work and lead in communities to foster relationships to support marketing, grassroots efforts
• Participate in negotiating hotel and facility agreements
• Develop marketing and sales strategies of game tickets and sponsorship
• Support sales efforts through proper fulfillment of sales elements and in identifying opportunities for sponsorship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work across multiple event deadlines
• Responsibility of Sr. Manager and Executive Director to ensure corporate compliance in all areas
• Work directly with Executive Director in fulfillment of convention authority partnership.
• Work directly with Executive Director in management of Allegiant Stadium partnership
• Active role securing sponsorships for events
• Management of hotel partnerships
• Manage 3rd party marketing, operation, activation and event groups
• Management of web-site and 3rd party social media groups
• Responsible for activations and fulfillment of title sponsor partner
• Work with partner conference office on marketing, operations and events
• Team Marketing Plan integration
• Contact with Ticket Master and Raiders Ticket Operations
• Ticket sales strategy support and ticket operations
• Responsible for management of Las Vegas Bowl Committee and Huddle

Basic Qualifications:
• 7 years of experience in a professional setting
• Experience in and understanding of event operations
• Strong knowledge of college football, college basketball, and the college bowl system
• Strong computer skills including knowledge and use of all Microsoft office programs

Preferred Qualifications:
• 7-10 years of diversified sports management experience, or, experience in a sport or event related capacity including a professional team, local organizing committee, Convention & Visitors Bureau, athletic department or other related business
• Good presentation skills
• Excels at teamwork
• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
• Strong knowledge of ticket sales, marketing and corporate sales
