Job Description
The Managing Producer in the ESPN+ Originals group will be in a production role for the ESPN+ team and will need to have the ability and experience in managing the overall production for multiple docuseries, promotional assets, and content integrations. This role will serve as a project lead for docuseries and the liaison with internal stakeholders and production companies.

Experience working in a deadline-oriented environment focused on quick turnarounds required. Experience in mentoring emerging producers required.

Responsibilities:
• Part of the management team leading ESPN+ Originals in the creative development, production, preparation, and delivery of original docuseries exclusively on ESPN+
• Ensures the selection of content is consistent with ESPN+ viewer trends; drives content by applying sound editorial judgment.
• Understands what content is compelling and relevant to shows and digital platforms, and actively suggests appropriate ideas.
• Collaborates closely with Content Integration team to build brand awareness and momentum ahead of each launch
• From pre-production through the launch of each series, serve as the day-to-day point person for the third-party packager and ESPN+ Originals. Must keep in constant touch with each showrunner and their production team throughout the project, including story development, research, interview lists, formal production, delivery of notes, post-production, rights and clearances and final delivery.
• Oversees and approves content and final edit from outside production companies providing high-profile, high-budget content to ESPN+, ESPN's direct-to-consumer product.
• Budget oversight of features on ESPN's highest rated studio shows including Monday Night Countdown, College Gameday, Sunday NFL Countdown, SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, etc.
• Identifies emerging technologies for visual storytelling
• Mentors production assistants, content associates, associate producers and feature producers in all aspects of production
• Responsible for providing direction, coaching and feedback to direct reports.
• Manages the D Achieve Performance Review process for direct reports.

Basic Qualifications:
• At least 6 years of progressively complex related broadcast, digital media, studio, or related production experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Demonstrates the ability and interest to develop and lead others.
• Proven ability to supervise effectively shoots and project timelines
• Strong knowledge of digital video production related techniques and on-line content management systems.
• Mastery of the video production process.
• Has an established ability to create and produce compelling news stories; generates and executes story ideas, from concept to execution.
• Has solid knowledge of sports.

Required Education
• High School Diploma

Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree in related field
