Job Description
The Director of Licensing will responsible for the development and growth of ESPN's licensed businesses, including the ESPN master brand, ESPN talent, our sub-brands, programming initiatives, and more. The Director will interface daily with the Disney Consumer Products team that manages ESPN's licensing business, as well as licensee partners and internal teams, with the goal of smart brand extensions.

Responsibilities
• Research and identify key license partners
• Cultivate relationships with potential licensees
• Generate ideas for new business opportunities
• Road show ideas for internal approval
• Develop and negotiate term sheets with DCP partner
• Collaborate with licensees to develop integrated marketing plan
• Monitor license agreement compliance: financial, product, distribution, etc.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards
• Collaborate with Legal, Merchandising, Design, Production and Marketing teams
• Category expert on trends and competitive set
• Review and discuss seasonal merchandising plans in conjunction with licensee
• Develop and review annual marketing plans with each license partner
• Present quarterly business updates to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience, preferably with a multinational company
• Depth of experience in working in Licensing and licensing products
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Google Drive/Applications and related software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Team-first sensibility who can comfortably work with peers and colleagues to build alliances
• Highly motivated and proactive disposition
• Entrepreneurial attitude, and comfortable working within a disciplined, matrixed environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for ESPN, sports, consumer products, trends, fashion, retail, lifestyle brands
• Comfortable analyzing data in collaboration with research and business development teams

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree, a focus on marketing strongly preferred

Preferred Education
• Master's in Business Administration, with a focus on marketing
