Job Description
The ESPN Content Business Development team is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new business opportunities that further enhance ESPN's content and product offerings. Through the innovation program, ESPN will continue to set a new standard in bringing sport media innovation to market, through best-in-class partnerships, to develop new business models, intellectual property, hardware and software solutions to advance storytelling, content production and sports-fan engagement through emerging technologies, with a focus on speed to market.

As a part of the innovation program, we will be maintaining center of collaboration to help fuel the creation of technical innovative solutions. We will be responsible for account management across our partners and help
The team continually evaluates prospective partners in traditional and digital media that either extended our content, expand our core audience target, and fuel the growth of ESPN+.

Responsibilities:

A successful candidate for this full-time position will need the ability to organize, prioritize, and show case creativity while supporting the identification and evaluation of new project opportunities across a wide variety of departments at ESPN (e.g. corporate strategy, content & marketing, product, production, and programming).

Responsibilities include:
• Assist the Sr Director and Associate Manager and ensure overall success of the innovation program
• Assist identification of project opportunities, and external partner support
• Coordinate various stakeholder meetings, agendas, and recaps with external companies and executives
• Aggregate Project Status Tracking & Reporting including financial spend and value in-kind
• Coordinate notes that track progress of various content business development & innovation workstreams
• Track and report on deal pipeline activity on an as needed basis
• Maintain account plans and build close working relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace
• Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends, success metrics, and performance indicators
• Prepare, deliver and own communications to senior executives
• Crystalize key insights from projects and communicate in an efficient and effective manner to a variety of internal audiences across departments, functions and levels
• Support event and experiences related to innovation efforts including but not limited to conferences and virtual experiences

Basic Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience working in Business Development, Account Management, or an innovation center utilizing dashboards, analyzing metrics, and supporting the coordination several projects at the same time.
• Strong written and verbal skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, with specific strength in creating PowerPoint presentations
• Must be comfortable working both independently and as a member of a team
• Detail oriented and collaborative, with outstanding interpersonal skills both verbal and written
• Creative thinker able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• General understanding of the current trends in the business industry and competitive landscape

Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience bus dev or innovation at a television programming company / sports league, a consulting firm
• Experience with media and technology-oriented business models and industry leaders
• Experience with project management systems and process
• Proven financial/business analytical skills
• Familiar with the Disney and ESPN Media Networks portfolio
• Understanding of emerging areas of sports business (eg. esports, sports betting)
