Job Description
The Associate Producer I will play a key role in the graphics management and oversight of the school control room project. They will be responsible for direct oversight of the graphics implementation and execution for the school productions, as well as play a role in molding the content execution from the school control rooms. They will provide feedback and mentoring to the schools on a regular basis and will also travel frequently to work with production teams at the schools on a regular basis. .
Responsibilities
• Serve as a graphics supervisor between the school control rooms and ESPN to ensure both sides are executing graphics correctly on various college sports.
• Work with the Creative Service Team and sport specific CPs to ensure the schools have the graphics and animations needed to execute sport specific content initiatives in the school control rooms.
• Evaluate the logistical and technical needs of each school production facility and provide feedback to ESPN management on the growth and development at each school.
• Develop and grow production standards for digital and linear even productions at each school to create uniformity in quality across ESPN networks.
• Hold training seminar and meetings to provide guidance and clarity in how graphics are best implemented into productions.
• Graphics Produce live events.
• Applies basic analytical skills to support the development of aspects of assigned remote telecasts.
Basic Qualifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple sports and with multiple CPs/Producers at the same time
• Has knowledge of real-time sporting even production, graphics and animations
• Global understanding of live sports execution and the ability to impart that experience on others in a positive and constructive way.
• Must be adaptable to changing work locations and facilities.
• Has some currency regarding technological advances in animation, video editing and graphics.
• Knowledge about all collegiate sports
• A minimum of 2- years of experience with remote sports events
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years television production experience
• Knowledge of Ross XPression and VIZ RT graphics platforms
• Knowledge of Mediabank, Mediasearch
• Experience working with/in school control rooms
Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree
