WEB ENGINEER
Epic Games is looking for Web Engineers for our Bellevue, WA studio to leverage deep full-stack understanding to solve complex technical challenges with novel solutions. The role will collaborate with an experienced team at the forefront of the games industry, in order to provide exceptional user experiences. Web developers at Epic impact a diverse set of initiatives from end to end. These range from the Epic Games Store to Fortnite social experiences; PartyHub, in-game features, and web apps supporting all kinds of community, marketing, and events content. We also build a variety of products that support other developers, from internal initiatives to third party teams worldwide. These include web portals for core platform services, marketplace and eCommerce applications, and beyond.
Responsibilities
• Design and build full-stack web applications using JavaScript and Node.JS.
• Develop new product features and provide corresponding documentation.
• Create web tools and automations for internal teams and external business partners.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code review to ensure team code quality standards are met.
• Passion for crafting secure, scalable, and highly available web applications.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, from an accredited university in the U.S., or its foreign equivalent and five (5) years of post-degree progressive professional experience as a Software Developer building frontend services and with the following:
• Architecting and leading innovative, complex web projects.
• Experience collaborating with a variety of strategic stakeholders to bring a product vision to life.
• UX / UI experience.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, and Frameworks like React, Node, and GraphQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services, Google Kubernetes).
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• Background check.
