Epic Games is looking to significantly expand its internal full-time Quality Assurance team. We are looking for serious QA professionals with wide ranging skills and experience who want to work embedded on a development. Whether you have very limited QA experience or you have 15 years or more, we have a position for you. This position owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of a given feature, function or set of work, where you will be part of a rapidly iterating development team working closely with developers. A Test Lead on the Live QA team will monitor incoming requests for support, ensuring proper triage and investigation on reports of defects, assisting the team where necessary. They will develop and maintain a clear workflow of issue reporting from initial contact to issue resolution. They will help monitor and document any trending issues, and deliver regular reports on product status and stability to the appropriate stakeholders, Test Leads will also be able to mentor and coach their assigned teams, They will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of technical familiarity, and be able to concisely sum up issues between development and end users. They will be an available knowledge resource about broad sections of the Unreal Engine and investigation techniques in particular. They will have a firm understanding of test methods, and be able to assist in coverage gap analysis through pertinent metrics.

What you'll do
The test lead will supervise the Live QA Test team and manage the customer reported issues database. They will monitor incoming requests for support, ensuring proper triage and investigation on reports of defects, assisting the team where necessary. They will develop and maintain a clear workflow of issue reporting from initial contact to issue resolution. They will help monitor and document any trending issues, and deliver regular reports on product status and stability to the appropriate stakeholders, The person in this role will be responsible for the following:
• Supervising day to day tasking of Testers
• Prioritizing testing to investigate major issues and developing trends reported by users
• Escalates issues to the right owners so major issues are visible
• Communicates out status of customer concerns to appropriate stakeholders
• Reviews and mentors testers
• Ensures their team maintains the company standard for bug quality and test execution
• Set expectations for Testers and evaluates their Performance
• Improving team process through feedback
• Able to perform test gap analysis and communicate this information to Release Test Team and QA Analysts
• Communicates with multiple parties to facilitate the flow of information from dev teams to customers.

What we're looking for
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine
• An understanding of Live QA / Support
• An understanding of gathering and analyzing trend data and metrics
