Be part of Epic's global, multi-specialized team of attorneys and legal professionals as you'll partner across our organization to provide legal solutions, consult and inform what we build and develop for our people, players and customers around the world.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a senior counsel with expertise in Advertising to support Epic Games' subsidiary, SuperAwesome. SuperAwesome is the leading youth digital marketing agency, positioned at the intersection of brands and gaming. In this role you will partner with the business to provide legal and regulatory advice on the ideation, contract stage, build and execution of multi-jurisdictional advertising campaigns in the metaverse and across all types of digital media, including social. The ideal candidate will require strong initiative and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with fast-paced sales teams to demanding deadlines.

In this role, you will
• Deal with the full suite of issues associated with creative content, including intellectual property queries (e.g. copyright clearances), advertising regulations (e.g. FTC/NAD/CARU), consumer protection, online harms/safety and data and privacy;
• Negotiate advertising terms and partnership agreements with some of the world's largest advertising and media buying agencies;
• Act as a product counsel for AwesomeAds - the only ad platform built for the under-16 industry;
• Act as the first-line of support and primary issue-spotter for all other legal and compliance issues across the SuperAwesome business, escalating to Epic's legal specialist teams as needed (Litigation, Employment, Privacy etc.).

What we're looking for
• Licensed advertising attorney in good standing with the bar and with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
• Understanding of the AdTech ecosystem and privacy laws as they apply to the advertising sector is highly desirable.
• Experience in children's advertising and children's privacy laws would be advantageous, although not a requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, sound judgment, and excellent multi-tasking and time management abilities.
• Genuine interest and familiarity with tech culture.
