Epic Games is looking to significantly expand its internal full-time Quality Assurance team. We are looking for serious QA professionals with wide ranging skills and experience who want to work embedded on a development team.

What You'll Do

We're looking for an SDET Architect to work on our QA operations team and pair with engineering and SDET leadership across Epic games to identify and drive tools development to build our technical testing backbone across Epic Games. These efforts will take a mix of broad technical skills, automation specific domain knowledge, and excellent leadership and communication skills as you will be working with internal and external stakeholders across multiple technical projects, with differing stakeholders and deliverables. If you love a mix of coding, communication, and leadership, with a passion for test engineering, we would like to talk to you.

In this role, you will
• Act as a vision holder for maintaining a ''testable software'' mentality at Epic Games
• Lead test architectural vision across teams by identifying and sharing best practices and standards for code health, testability and maintenance with the wider QA department
• Collaborate with a wide variety of engineering and content creation teams to solve complex technical challenges in ways that move the stability and testing efficiency and effectiveness forward
• Work closely with stakeholders of all disciplines to understand testing capabilities and gaps across the organization
• Identify opportunities internal and external to Epic to apply tools, and then develop roadmaps to deliver on those spaces
• Extend or design test engineering frameworks and tools as necessary
• Work with software engineers across products to ensure features are written as testable units
• Collaborate with QA to develop automation processes that are robust, reliable, and easy to use
• Assists in mentoring and educating QA Engineers and SDETs in best practices, proprietary technology, and in newest technology and methods

What we're looking for
• 7+ years coding experience, across multiple languages, including one of: C, C++, or C#
• Experience developing automation/performance tools
• Domain knowledge working on scalability and performance testing, across multiple platforms from both a client and service perspective
• The ability to work with multiple technology stacks across multiple platforms and products
• Experience leading teams both directly and indirectly, while supporting individuals of variable skill levels
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems such as Jenkins or Team City
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside of the established solutions
• Experience working across and multiple platforms (Desktop, Mobile, Consoles)
• Experience with performance and scalability testing from both a client and services perspective
• The ability to work with multiple technology stacks across multiple platforms and products
