What You'll Do

Epic's fast-growing IT Engineering team is looking for a Lead IT Infrastructure Platform Engineer (Manager) to lead a global team of engineers. The focus will be leading our Infrastructure Platform team to build services used by the company. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide services that enhance the user experience for all of Epic.

In this role, you will
• Lead a team of 8-12 engineers and supporting staff across the globe
• Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts
• Lead the team's innovation efforts, bring in new ideas and technologies
• Help with design and code reviews. Ensure high programming standards by writing unit and functional tests

What we're looking for
• 3-5 years relevant experience in technical leadership of DevOps or Infrastructure engineering teams
• 5+ years experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure engineer
• 3+ years of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• 3+ years experience with a programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure and platform services

Nice To Have Skills
• Experience with version control systems (perforce, github enterprise, etc)
• Established time management skills with the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid RESTful API and systems design sensibilities
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other Engineers, Product Managers, etc.
