Job Description
Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Investment in Content for Film and TV, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day, month-end and year-end reporting, as well as analysis and controls in the Film & TV Finance department. The candidate will make a strong contribution by being actively involved in taking full ownership of the Investment in Content models, producer royalty and participation accruals for the Film & Television division, including compliance with internal controls.

Job Duties:
• Actively involved in month-end and year-end close
• Maintain the Investment in Content model and process, including calculation and coding of royalties
• Analysis and reconciliations of relevant balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare working paper schedules on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Perform title variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and by-title information
• Collaborate within our division as well as confirming with counterparts in the wider group to maintain the reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Assist with various aspects and rollout of the financial software conversion project
• Assist with year-end external and internal audits
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations; decrease turnaround times; and streamline work processes
• Actively involved in ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on special projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and professional designation
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in accounting required
• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Advanced experience in Excel; strong experience in MS Word and e-mail
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) an asset
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, multi-tasking and execution skills
• Ability to use initiative and take ownership of outlined responsibilities
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
