Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting Shared Services, the Accounts Receivable Team Lead will focus on the TV stream in the global AR function and play a key role in assisting in the development of our newly created AR function. The key responsibility for the role is to support the end to end AR Function for the TV stream, implement change for efficiencies, and ensure the Film and Television Shared Service exceeds the needs of partners.

Key Responsibilities
• Reinforce and deliver new processes and systems to set up customers, facilitate global billing and apply cash
• Execute cash collection process in multiple jurisdictions and currencies and handle application of cash, adhering to best methods
• Lead and validate the creation and execution on invoicing
• Assess credit risk for customer creation
• Manage customer creation and maintenance in the accounting system
• Handle relationships with customers
• Manage production billback process
• Lead customer reconciliations
• Guide a team of 3
• Identify delinquent accounts and advance when required
• Contribute to month end processes
• Ensure adherence to controls
• Provide input to track and report performance of AR function
• Continuously strive to make improvements in existing process and models
• Review trends and analyze large sources of data

Key Competencies
• Minimum 3-5 years' Accounts Receivable experience in a fast paced, deadline driven business environment
• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules and practices and internal controls is required
• Experience leading a team to reach their full potential
• Strong MS Excel and modeling skills are required; you use formulas, macros, pivot tables and other advanced Excel features comfortably
• Bachelor's Degree in related field is a plus
• Experience working with Great Plains a plus
• Persuasive interpersonal ability with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Proven track record prioritizing and balancing multiple tasks in a time critical environment
• Superior scheduling, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Fast learner
• Self-starter with proven ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
• Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work overtime when required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to think creatively
