Accounting Manager (6 month FTC)

Role

This is a six-month fixed term role covering two key pillars of finance for the Family Brands division. The first is ownership through to completion of statutory accounting and audit for the Family Brands division, with the second being support to the Director of Brand Finance in partnering the growing Global Brand Management (''GBM'') and Entertainment Brand Marketing (''EBM'') teams covering accounting and FP&A as a backfill while the Director is seconding to an internal project.

This role would suit someone minimum 2-3 years post-qualified from practice looking to utilise their accounting skills alongside expanding commercial finance experience in industry, or to someone who has already left practice and enjoys the balance of accounting and FP&A responsibilities in their role.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Accounting & Compliance
• Pick up Family Brands component of statutory accounts preparation ensuring that GAAP adjustments for stats are appropriately captured and supported.
• Own audit relationship and fielding of audit requests on statutory numbers including response to audit requests and where necessary coordination with other team members to satisfy requirements.
• Coordinate with reporting team that collate divisional numbers into consolidated stats to ensure Family numbers in financial statement and disclosures are appropriately presented.

Brand Finance
• Review month-end journals associated with brand and marketing expenditure as prepared by the Senior Analyst and support senior analyst on preparation of variance analysis against budget/forecast.
• Review ongoing brand and marketing cost tracking in partnership with commercial teams to ensure accruals are accurate and complete and outlook for rest of the year is reasonable.
• Support Director in oversight of Senior Analyst in managing day-to-day business partnering, accounting and budget/forecast modelling.
• Provide ad hoc support to Director with respect to Hasbro group's global brand profitability analysis.

Additional
• Support on consolidation of forecasts/budgets and submission into the group's consolidation system.
• Ad-hoc analysis and project work as required by the business.

Required Experience
• Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA with minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
• Proven experience in accounting / audit with strong working experience of audit process and preferably accounts preparation
• Experience in commercial finance / FP&A preferable not essential
• Business partnering with commercial divisions of a business preferable not essential
• Experience of solving complex problems using data analysis and manipulation in Excel
