Staff Accountant

Job Description

Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM), is the Largest radio broadcasting company and radio network in the United States, the Philadelphia area based company is seeking to hire an individual in its finance department. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting, and will be responsible for the day to day accounting of the business.

Duties include:
• Assist the corporate financial team with various projects
• Assist in closing general ledger and accounts payable system
• Prepare monthly close journal entries
• Complete monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Update and maintain SAGE Fixed Asset System
• Update and maintain EZ Lease System
• Work with external auditors, provide support documentations and explanations
• Compile, adjust and evaluate various accruals to ensure their accuracy
• Research and correct account discrepancies and variances
• Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
• Ad Hoc Accounting Projects

Qualifications:
• solid understanding of accounting terms and concepts
• ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
• good verbal and written communication skills
• strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Excel is a must)
• bachelor's degree required
• 2 or more years of accounting experience preferred
• willingness to establish and maintain effective working relations
• Self-starter and strong work ethic
• key skills/attributes: organization, attention to detail, problem-solving and accountability
