Staff Accountant

Job Description

Job Duties:
• Key player in accounts payable using accounting software and invoice/expense management tools
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation
• Ensure invoices are processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to policies and controls
• Prepare weekly check runs and initiate payments via ACH, wire and credit card
• Conduct monthly/quarterly close process, accruals, journal entries and inter-company journal entries
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly B/S and P/L variance analysis and related supporting schedule
• Prepare reconciliations for intercompany and related-party transactions
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as Cash, A/R, A/P, Prepaid, Fixed Asset
• Download statements from various processors
• Record cash collections form various processors
• Apply customer checks and wires
• Record merchant cash deposits
• Prepare specialized month-end reports
• Prepare processor and customer settlement reconciliations
• Prepare VAT and sales tax filling
• Communicate with vendors and obtain documents as necessary to set up profiles
• Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
• Assist with any additional ad hoc requests

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3+ experience
• Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational ability
• Effective corporate communications skills
• Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
