Senior React Native Engineer

The Opportunity

Endeavor Digital is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to help with mobile applications development on both the iOS and Android platforms. Our products range from internal to enterprise-level and consumer-facing solutions.  You will architect and build these applications, as well as coordinate with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, we're looking for a strong team player with a commitment to excellence , and ideally someone product-minded that advocate s for
our customer's experience as if it would be their own .

This position can be fully remote /distributed.

Who You Are
• You have 5 + years of experience in the field of software engineering , at least 3 years being with R eact N ative and associated technologies .
• Ability to write well-document ed, clean Typescript / JavaScript /ES6+ code , with understanding of its nuances
• You're e xperience d with GraphQL APIs , React and React Native, State management (Redux or other) ; e xperience with RxJs and Redux Observable libraries is a plus
• You're familiar with automated testing suites, like Jest , and insist on covering the crucial parts of your code with testing
• You know your way around native build tools, like XCode, Gradle . E xperience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java is a bonus
• You're
organized, paying attention to details, with excellent verbal and written communication skills – and it shows up in change reviews and documentation
• You have recent experience bu ilding and supporting large-scale production web applications and services and can point to several projects that left lasting value for other companies
• You know how to tenaciously debug systems you craft and rely upon
• You value and support cross-functional collaborati on, diversity, psychological safety, and time for focused work within high trust environments
• You understand the benefits of virtualization and container technologies , CDNs, various transport standards and how applying these technologies can help you build better products
• You have strong solution architecture skills and a passion for building high quality applications
• You've got some experience building out backends to complement your mobile apps ' needs and can follow and contribute to what is supplying your app with its data in a clean and rigorous way.

What you'll do
• Contribute to a culture of excellence by build ing great products that delight our customers
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
• Embrace simplicity; if aspects of UI/UX designs introduce unwanted complexity , encourage alternative solutions
• I mplement best practices , libraries and frameworks to encourage higher code quality and faster time to market (such as components, design systems , reusable packages)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA/ DevOps and Marketing
• Ensure applications meet the highest of expectations across performance, latency, scalability and compliance
• Document your software to ensure coworkers and customers can maximize its value
