Roles & Responsibilities:
Brand Identity:
• Develop a long-term vision for each brand/product
• Define and articulate the overall brand identity (from a copy perspective)
• Familiarize yourself with existing brands' at the organization, as well as competitors
Content Strategy
• Develop channel-specific content marketing plans & cross-platform content strategies for products/marketplaces initiatives aligned with short- and long-term marketing goals
• Identify gaps in existing content and provide strategic rationale for new content opportunities across digital and social channels
• Research related markets and industries to compare their strategies
Content Management:
• Coordinate with marketing, design, and Social Media & Community Manager to build a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year
• Manage content on the website, social media pages, and email campaigns
• Create, maintain, and update style guidelines
• Content Measurement & Analysis
• Collaborate with marketing/analytics team to define, measure, & report content KPIs to drive continuous optimization for web content. Document insights
• Monitor content effectiveness over time. Conduct content audits to ensure quality & effectiveness
• Collaborate with team to create recommendations on how to improve overall content & consumption based on analytics and performance
Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience in drafting UX/digital content and/or content strategy
• 3+ years of experience writing and editing content for the digital space or at an agency
• Solid writing, editing, and communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, & usage
• Ability to think creatively & translate ideas into copy
• Familiarity with SEO guidelines and related tools (Moz, SEMrush, etc.)
• Knowledge of content marketing systems, such as WordPress
• Experience using social media for business
• Experience in project management, including the ability to manage schedules & deadlines for multiple projects
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Proactive, solutions-oriented with impeccable attention to detail
• Positive attitude and desire to learn
• BS in Journalism, English, Marketing, Advertising, or another communication-related field
