Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Payroll calculations and review
• Calculate Payroll for internal employees based in multiple US states
• Prepare multiple payroll reports for finance team
• Maintain large annual reports tracking earnings for high level executives
• Maintain payroll data using the Workday platform on a semi-monthly basis
• Review employee data entered by HR for accuracy
• Review New Hire onboarding for completeness
• Work with benefits department to calculate Leave of absence payments
• Process off-cycle payments for terminated workers
• Set up tax IDs and accounts with new states as needed in ADP and Workday
• Run and reconcile retroactive payments from previous payrolls
• Point of contact for ADP iPay and resetting passwords for employees
• Submit necessary amendments and upload tax notices in ADP Smart Compliance
• Process Payroll for UK office using ADP Freedom
• Ensure non-exempt employee population submits time sheets on deadline days
• Answer applicable questions for employees about their time off balances or time sheets

Payroll Reconciliation
• Create and balance payroll reconciliation from Workday reports to G/L ready excel sheet

Accounting and Audit
• Submit invoices and journal entries in SAP to account for wires or final paycheck transactions
• Submit wires and ensure accuracy for final CA paychecks
• Work with Payroll director to gather and provide support for various audits including financial and 401k

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Preferred Skills

Workday timekeeping, Workday Payroll, ADP Smart compliance, ADP iPay, ADP Freedom, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, SAP, good communication skills, ability to multi-task and work with strict deadlines, pays attention to detail, familiarity with various state's payroll laws.
