THE ROLE
On Location is seeking a highly motivated eCommerce Manager to join the company's marketing team, supporting all sports divisions within the business throughout our various marketing channels. This is a great opportunity for a marketer that desires to grow their career in the sports, entertainment, travel, and event management fields. The role will report to the eCommerce Director and work closely with other cross-functional teams.
The Manager will report to the Director and will focus on the development and overall management of the digital display and promotion of product offerings. Additional responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, managing inventory, fundamental financial reporting, content sourcing and more. This is a cross-functional role which supports and collaborates with team members from Marketing, Ticketing, Fulfillment, Event Production, and Sales. This role will require extended hours on evenings and weekends, especially during peak season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Above average technical skills as it relates to Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn multiple software platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team-based environment
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Self-starter and ability to take on many tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to move projects along and meet deadlines
• Above average technical skills as it relates to Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn multiple software platforms.
• Basic understanding of entrepreneurial and business tactics that results in taking initiative to present new ideas, improve processes and identify gaps in the business.
• Ability to curate and edit imagery for website (Experience with Photoshop is a plus).
• Work experience in eCommerce and knowledge of sports, music, live entertainment, and/or hospitality industries is highly preferred.
Other Responsibilities
Product Management
• Build ticket and hospitality packages and publish to website
• Master backend systems to create and maintain products while meeting deadlines
• Manage products throughout event sales cycle
• Provide support to other teams as needed
Content Management
• Source content for use on website that matches brand style guide
• Ensure web pages are populated with correct information and content
• Edit and resize digital assets
• Collaborate with Marketing team to support campaigns and meet stakeholder expectations
Reporting
• Run inventory reports to support Product and Sales teams
Documentation
• Create and organize process documentation
Change Management
• Work with eCommerce Director to create and implement change management documents and processes
• Create and manage event lifecycle calendar
• Create and manage cross-functional communication hub
Other
• This position requires weekend, holiday and after hours work as needed during peak times of the year
• Some travel to our other offices and various sporting events will be required
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree
• Marketing and communications experience
• Strong writing, proofing and editing skills required
• Experience in a customer service position (minimum of 2+ years) preferably in sports and/or travel and hospitality industry
• Strong organizational, telephone etiquette, and customer service skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills - a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong oral, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task within a high-pressure environment
• Continually strive for self-development and discovering better means of accomplishing both personal and professional goals
Travel
Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule and be available to travel for work during holidays. This position may require up to 25% travel.
