Job Description:
Endeavor is seeking an Information Reporting Analyst to join its Corporate Department and work with businesses across Endeavor on various Indirect tax issues but with a primary focus on US Information Reporting and Withholding return matters (1099/1042-S). Prior experience with US Information Reporting is crucial and it is a plus if the candidate also has prior knowledge around other indirect tax areas including sales and use taxes as well as GST and VAT. This person will report into the indirect tax manager and work with IT, business operations and finance teams. This job is based out of our New York, NY office. This role is not eligible for hire outside the NY Metro area.

What You'll Do:

Information Reporting
• Manage annual information reporting compliance data gathering, file preparation, control reports, and uploads to ensure timely distributions of forms, including but not limited to Forms 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1042-S
• Manage and ensure timely annual information reporting compliance filings for Form 1042
• Assist the teams with addressing any reconciliation and data remediations required (e.g., failed TIN checks) to ensure accurate tax reporting
• Review and analyze vendor tax information across various systems (withholding status, chapter 3 and chapter 4 status, various FATCA related data points) for consistency and accuracy; liaise with appropriate teams and/or individuals to facilitate the required adjustments
• Support any technology and operations projects that have an information reporting or indirect tax aspect (e.g., we recently implemented SOVOS as our Information Return reporting solution)
• Assist with review and validation of the various IRS Forms (e.g., W-9, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, W-8EC, W-8EXP, W-8IMY, 8233, Central withholding agreement (CWA)) acting as 2nd level of support/oversight of internal vendor onboarding team
• Research and respond to internal day-to-day questions from businesses (e.g., questions regarding tax documentation, client types, and income sources, requirements related to complex transactions and structures etc.)
Other Indirect Tax areas
• During information return reporting off season, will learn, and assist with indirect tax in US with exposures to multiple state/local jurisdictions across the businesses
• Assist in improving indirect tax processes and automations, to simplify and increase accuracy where possible
• Assist the indirect tax manager with ad hoc requests from the various businesses as they arise, partner with businesses to ensure accurate tax treatments embedded in sales and vendor systems and operational processes
• Assist the indirect tax manager with the development of education materials for information reporting, withholding requirements and indirect taxes
• Assist the indirect tax manager with tax audits/tax disputes as they arise
• Assist the indirect tax manager in monitoring state and country thresholds/materiality as well as any changes in laws and notify any businesses that are impacted
• Assist the businesses with indirect tax filings during information return off season.

Who You Are:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Taxation, Accounting, or any other related field.
• 4+ years of tax experience (Big 4 experience a plus)
• 2+ years of US Information Reporting
• Knowledge and understating of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
• Experience in global, indirect tax transactions including VAT is a plus
• Relevant industry experience handling indirect tax across some or all of Endeavor's businesses (e.g., representation, media, events, owned content and streaming) is a plus
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals
• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated
• Experience with our current tax tools that are relevant to the job description: SAP/Sovos/Avalara a plus
