Job Description

IMG also specializes in licensing, sports training, and league development.

We are looking for an ambitious, talented Marketing Manager to join our tennis team in Miami and oversee the execution of first-class marketing activity across our iconic portfolio of North American tennis events including the Miami Open and Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative programs that deliver against the company's brand and business objectives. They will have adept project management experience and a passion for ensuring the highest levels of quality, creativity, and revenue-driving marketing plans for the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning
• Working into the Senior Marketing Director of tennis you will develop brand and marketing strategies as part of our go-to-market process that establish and grow our North American tennis events brand awareness, affinity, attendance, and viewership with particular focus on Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic.
• Work closely with our cross-functional groups (including the insights & analytics team to X-portfolio marketing team, event operations, sponsorship sales, PR, creative, ticketing software providers, legal & finance) to deliver successful marketing strategies.
• Supporting the Senior Marketing Director, you will work alongside our partners at the Miami Dolphins to help them deliver the marketing and ticketing strategy for Miami Open.

Product Development & Optimisation
• Support the Senior Marketing Director identify & develop new products & revenue streams for our events from new events to new experiences on-site, new merch lines, content etc.

Marketing Campaign Development & Delivery
• Managing ticket modelling, ticket sales/revenue forecasting, and ongoing sales with ticket agency/ies throughout the ticket campaigns.
• Planning for, managing & delivering the creative assets and content required for successful delivery of the ticketing campaign including website design & content, emails, social media posts, blogs, OOH, press, advertising, print assets and more.
• Planning for, managing & delivering the creative assets and content required on-site at our events including signage, event programs, maps & materials, video & photography, digital animations & sponsor-led content.
• Creating content for, managing & maintaining our websites, email marketing platforms, mobile apps, social media channels, and on-site engagement solutions both in and out of campaigns.
• Providing support to PR agency to deliver PR narratives in line with agreed upon objectives.
• Developing managing & overseeing influencer marketing campaigns as and when appropriate as part of our event marketing campaigns and activity alongside our PR teams.
• Support in identifying & managing relationships & activity with paid & contra media partners.
• Creating & managing discount codes & offers for consumers, managing comp & internal VIP ticketing & invites to the event(s);
• Managing performance monitoring, optimisation and reporting of all marketing activity, and action adjustments where necessary to ensure optimisation for maximum performance, reach, and return on investment.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sponsor and partner marketing requirements are fulfilled and opportunities for reciprocal marketing are maximised.
• Managing & maintaining relationships with key stakeholders & relationships on-site at the events with ticketing.
• Delivering robust post-event reports that includes management of the post event survey process, analysis of results & development of recommendations for the next cycle.

Financial Management:
• Support the Senior Marketing Director by managing your marketing budget effectively and efficiently endeavouring to optimize the marketing spend regularly.
• Processing and tracking invoices and spend accurately.
• Working with the Senior Marketing Operations Director you will produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly consumer revenue and marketing spend reports and analysis.

Stakeholder Management:
• Attend Sponsor meetings, assist with coordinating presentations and proposals where required.
• Assist with Sponsor account management and digital servicing of partners.
• Liaise with Exhibitors and suppliers as required.
• Support the Senior Marketing Director by building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Tournament Directors, talent, our partners at Miami Dolphins and so on.

Team Management:
• Guide, mentor and manage the Social Media Coordinator

Knowledge & Experience
• Proven track record delivering successful marketing strategies and campaigns through-the-line for live events preferred.
• Deep understanding and respect for consumer-first strategy, creative and performance marketing.
• A keen understanding of and passion for tennis is essential.
• Proven experience reporting on the effectiveness of a 360-event marketing campaign.
• Some working experience of managing marketing budget and finances.
• Strong experience of working with and understanding the US & UK media mix.
• A wider passion for art, culture, fashion, food, music would be beneficial to the role.
• A track record of delivering marketing strategies, campaigns and activations with a DEI lens that helps grow a brands reach, reputation, conversion, loyalty, and impact with URGs.

Skills & Abilities
• Ability to work quickly and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while paying close attention to quality of output.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines.
• Ability to self-direct and motivate and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communications skills with strong writing, proofing, and editorial skills - excellent attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build strong and effective relationships with multiple key stakeholders and teams in various locations.
• A strong team player that is flexible dependent on business demand.

Unusual Challenges and/or Circumstances
• You'll usually work normal office hours (9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday), however, you may work longer hours, including evening and weekend work, when working to a campaign deadline or in the lead up to/ during an event.
• You may be required to travel to each event and work on-site for the duration of the event, as necessary.
• Outside of event travel there may be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role.
