Business Development Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Support business growth through various tasks including; outreach, analysis, communication, planning and reporting.
• Analyze market trends and identify areas of opportunity
• Maintain current client relationships and identify areas for potential clients & events
• Developing business plans in response to prospective opportunities
• Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
• Strong knowledge of Excel and budget development
• Strong understanding of company products and services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a similar area
• About five years of proven sales experience in an event or a related area
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements
• Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
• Highly motivated, passionate, committed, energetic;
• Able to work under pressure and solve problems;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a sales environment;
• Strong budget management skills and sensitive to confidentiality of agreements;
• Strategic thinker and creative problem solver;
• Understanding of the consumer event business
