Technical Director (Quality Software Engineering)

Criterion

For more than fifteen years we've entertained millions of players around the world with our award-winning games. Our accomplished people have expressed their passion for outstanding game feel, AAA audiovisual quality and technical innovation in the Burnout and Need for Speed series and and more recently in Battlefield 1, Star Wars X-Wing VR, Starfighter Assault and Arcade for Star Wars Battlefront II and Firestorm for Battlefield V.

We believe that healthy, engaged teams make great games, so we place enormous value on collaboration, fresh ideas, and unique perspectives. We'd love to hear yours! Crunch doesn't help make a better game. We don't do it. For the past three years we are very proud to have been recognised by gamesindustry.biz as one of the best places to work in the UK. Let's talk about how you could be a part of it.

Responsibilities

Do you want to make making games better? As a Technical Director in the Criterion Quality Engineering team, you will help improve the way we make and test games. We're looking for a curious and passionate person who is always looking for ways to improve the quality of life for QA and developers. Your insights and your influence will allow us to make the highest quality games possible and have fun whilst doing it.

As a Quality Engineer, and part of the worldwide Quality Verification organisation your role is concerned with improving the creation experience for developers, and the ultimate game quality experience for our players. Using automated testing, workflow tools, and data insights we make it as easier create and test high-quality games. Identifying defects earlier, making it easier to make high-quality changes, getting as much information as possible to fix defects, you will help ensure that the game can always be stable through all stages of development.
