Technical Art Director – VancouverThe EA Sports UFC team is looking for a Technical Art Director for a future-focused endeavour. In collaboration with your art, engineering and production partners, you will create engaging and immersive visual experiences with us that our players can lose themselves in. To achieve this, you will inspire and direct a team of visual technicians and artists and in creating outstanding visual features and content that work beautifully together.Responsibilities:
• You will work directly with us, the game team leadership to understand and solve the visual challenges and opportunities for the franchise
• You will be a vocal advocate for the needs of the content creators and visual engineers, creating and supporting an open and high-trust team culture
• You will partner with the Technical Director and Art Director to guide visual features and content from concept to final, ensuring excellent visual quality, a well-structured production and smooth runtime performance
• You will lead reviews, examine content, give feedback and motivate your team to our shared goals
• You will create sustainable visual foundation to support the franchise for many years to come
• You will report to the Franchise Art Director and have the support of a large and diverse community of experienced visual directors

Requirements:
• You have five or more years of experience working within technical art teams, alongside engineers and artists to create high-quality and well performing visual experiences
• You have shown passion for leading and communicating with teams of artists and engineers, giving engaging presentations to all levels inside and outside the team
• You have been in a visual leadership role from concept, through production and into final
• You have direct experience of how video game artists work with, and improve upon, vast quantities of new and legacy visual content across worlds, characters, lighting and VFX
• You have a rich and informed understanding of the future trends of video game visuals and content-creation methods
