Job Description
We exist to Inspire the World to Play. We create extraordinary new game experiences for our millions of players everywhere by bringing together accomplished people that combine creativity, innovation, and passion. We immerse our employees into an inclusive culture and provide opportunities for learning and leading that allow our employees to do the most impactful and rewarding work of their careers.
Electronic Arts Inc. is a global leader in interactive entertainment. We develop games, content and online services across platforms. We have a broad portfolio of brands that span the most popular genres.
We create games for players to lose themselves in. We want our players to feel engaged with our visuals, for them to resonate and delight. We want every piece of art from the game to feel recognisable to our players, to feel part of the same world.
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Experience Designer to help us achieve these goals. You will collaborate with a small team of visual creators that cross multiple disciplines - Visual effects, User Interface, UX, Lighting, Environments and Characters. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Art Director, and the Game, UX and Creative Directors to create a cohesive vision for the game. We would like to hear from someone who can be a generalist with primary expertise in leading Interactive UI Design teams.
We would prefer that you would have shipped a high-quality game in a role where you were responsible for guiding artists, critiquing their work, and mentoring them.
This role at EA is collaborative and we are looking for someone who can not only provide creative leadership, but also committed to the planning process, hands-on artwork and leading a team. If working at a big company on a small team appeals to you, then please apply!
YOU HAVE
• 5+ years experience on multiple shipped products.
• Related post-secondary education, with preference towards a Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or Art.
• Knowledge of Unity's UI system (UGUI) is a huge bonus, but not a requirement.
• The ability to lay out complex information in an easy to understand manner.
• Visual design skills (i.e., composition, iconography, layout, typography, color theory).
• Motion graphics skills, the ability to bring interfaces to life with usability in mind.
• Excel in a team-oriented, product-focused environment; you enjoy collaboration and appreciate the exchange of ideas and concepts.
• Comfort presenting cohesive design approaches to non-design audiences.
• An awareness of current design and art trends.
• Experience creating, contributing to and working with Design Systems.
