Senior Analyst, Social Listening

The EA Marketing Analytics team is looking for an experienced social listening analytics professional to take on the role of Senior Analyst, Social Listening at our Vancouver studio, reporting to the Senior Manager for Marketing Analytics. We are looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of social media listening, can work with a variety of tools and analytical methods to extract the signal from the noise and deliver insights to our marketing partners in ways that create clarity, guide action, and bring impact. What you will do:
• Work with marketing and community partners to understand their needs and support their efforts to interpret social conversation around our games, becoming a trusted advisor.
• Manage the relationship with social listening tool vendors to ensure EA is getting the most from the tools, and ensure evolving features are promoted to partners.
• Approach analyses with structured, strategic thinking to design a plan before digging into data to ensure the end result will be useful and usable.
• Select, process, and explore data from social listening tools, as well as related data sources for marketing channels to support decision-making.
• Create presentations with crisp data visualizations to tell compelling data stories to partners and influence the business.
• Produce interactive dashboards and automated reporting to inform the business on a self-serve basis.
• Manage multiple projects involving complex data collection, analysis and application.

Background and Technical Skills:
• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Marketing or equivalent.
• 3 years relevant hands-on analytical experience, with the ability to manage the analytical process and translate findings from the data into recommendations for our partners.
• Experience with social listening tools, such as Spiketrap or Synthesio, especially related to the video game industry.
• Proficiency in R statistical programming (or equivalent) to explore diverse data sets and create descriptive and predictive models using methods like correlation analysis, regression modeling, cluster analysis.
• Data visualization with tools like Looker, R Shiny, Data Studio, Power BI.
• SQL skills.
