Software Engineer in Mobile Central Tech
The Mobile Central Tech Engine team is looking for a talented software engineer to assist in identifying performance-related concerns across the EA Mobile portfolio and implement solutions at the engine level, to be shared by all teams. Additionally, the software engineer will help build and maintain the shared code package ecosystem for the engine.
Responsibilities:
• Assist game teams in identifying and fixing performance-related issues.
• Help craft code solutions to those problems that will mitigate the issue for all titles.
• Identify areas of overlap between varying implementations of common features across game projects.
• Craft shared packages to centralize those functions.
• Maintain the build and distribution services for both the customized engine and the shared packages.
• Communicate technical requirements and estimates to engine team leaders.
• Communicate frequently with the leads of game teams about performance and shared code concerns.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 1+ years of experience writing and maintaining software in C++ and C#
• 1+ years of experience building games in Unity
• Able to work effectively with various source control systems, including both Git and Perforce.
• Experience with any of the following a plus: Jenkins, Artifactory, NPM/UPM, Unity build pipeline.
