The Challenge Ahead:

At EA, we inspire the world to play. We are seeking a Legal Counsel (m/f/d). The Legal Counsel's position will be based in Cologne, Germany and will report to the Senior Counsel onsite.

As a Legal Counsel, you will draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as marketing agreements, service agreements, cooperation agreements and license agreements in close coordination with our business teams.

You will also provide expert advise with a focus on eCommerce and consumer protection, laws in relation to marketing, IP and copyright law as well as general civil law matters. You will provide guidance and support on variety of legal matters and day-to-day legal queries and conduct legal researches.

You will support different internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Localisation and build a close relationship to EAs local commercial teams. You will obtain knowledge about publishing interactive entertainment software and be part of an international team that is known for dedication.

You will be part of EAs Legal team across the globe and experience working with the international Legal team on different projects.

The next great EA Legal Counsel also needs:
• Qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with solid experience in an in-house legal department or law firm
• Advanced practical experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
• Excellent professional knowledge and practical experience with a focus on eCommerce laws, consumer protection laws, laws in relation to marketing and general civil law.
• Ability to independently prioritize and manage a variety of tasks
• Enjoy working in a passionate and matrixed organization
• Aspiration to work in the games industry
• Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
