Lead Artist - Plants Vs. Zombies 2

The Zombies are coming!

Reporting to the Live Producer, we are looking for a hands-on Lead Artist to join us and help continue delivering the beloved Plants vs. Zombies 2 game to our players. You will support and guide a remote 2D Art team within a Live Operations environment and have an eye for Marketing and Promotional assets.

The Role

As a Lead Artist, you will be a primary contributor to the artistic vision for our game ensuring that the assets created by the Art team are consistent with the visual style, are of high-quality, and are produced to schedule.

In addition to guiding and coordinating the work of the other artists on the team, you will maintain the same standards within your work, be that promotional material or in-game assets.

Responsibilities
• Maintain a visual direction for the Art team that harmonizes the look and feel of the game.
• Support the Art team through clear direction, communication and constructive feedback.
• Inspire and motivate the Development team with clear visual direction and quality work.
• Co-ordinate work and advocate for the Art team across multiple partner disciplines.
• Oversee the Art team's schedule, identifying early any risks or blockers and providing regular progress updates.
• Improve processes to increase the team's productivity, remove blockers and protect them from randomizations.
• Produce inspirational promotional and marketing art for Plants vs Zombies 2.
• Help create new characters for our game, identifying potential challenges and offering solutions.

Qualifications
• A passion for playing and making fun Mobile games!
• At least 5+ years of games production experience, with Mobile LiveOps experience a big plus
• Expert Photoshop skills.
• Knowledge of Flash/Adobe Animate.
• Background in overseeing the work quality, planning, and estimations of other artists, including remote geographic locations.
