Do you want to help make games better? As a Group Technical Director in the Mobile Quality Engineering team, you will report to the Head of Mobile Quality Verification (QV). As part of the worldwide QV organization you will help improve the way we make and test games across the EA's Mobile studios group. We are looking for a curious and passionate person who is always looking for ways to improve the quality of life for QA, developers, and the ultimate experience for our players. Your insights and your influence will allow us to make the highest quality games possible and have fun whilst doing it.
Using automated testing, workflow tools, and data insights, your team makes it as easy as possible to create and test high-quality games, you will help ensure that the game will always be stable through all stages of development.

Responsibilities
• Create technical strategies to ensure effective QA engagements across multiple groups and projects.
• Manage a team of Technical Directors across engagements to ensure technical strategies are successful at satisfying Studio and QV requirements.
• Guide the quality development discipline forward as part of the global Quality Technology Council and the worldwide Quality Verification organization.
• Participate in the Quality Verification planning and strategies for each product within the Mobile group.
• Ensure the excellence of our embedded and in-sourced tools development services.
• Oversee all project dependencies, risks, and critical paths.
• Promote achievement of the Quality Verification team's business goals and develop policies for sharing software, technical innovation, business processes and other intellectual property.
• Help create a strong technical community by developing excellent relationships with technical peers in game development teams and other groups throughout EA studios.
• Work with other team leaders to manage change.
• Lead, coach and mentor software engineers on the team.
• Recruit and retain great people to the team and company.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years' technology industry technical experience working on tools, test automation, and software development.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role including some experience managing other managers.
• At least 2 years experience in providing enterprise technology solutions.
• Experience leading solutions development on mobile or related platforms.
• Knowledge of game application technologies, spanning client, server, live operations and infrastructure systems.
• Balance technical, team, product, project, support, and business requirements for successful outcomes.
• Experience leading technical teams that are distributed across multiple studios and time zones.
• Change management, experience adapting/changing status quo and traversing changes with people, products, and processes.
• Experience with development supporting multiple independent stakeholders.
• Experience developing new talent.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

º $167,200 - $258,050
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $155,900 - $258,050
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $155,900 - $258,050
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $155,900 - $212,800
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $155,900 - $241,800
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
