Our award-winning studio are looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join the F1 team.
Working in close collaboration with the design and UI art teams, you will use C++ skills with our custom engine and game systems. We can teach you the power of our tech, all you need to do is bring your flare and expertise to implement new features.
As a racing specialist, our game worlds are rich with detailed, informative content and data delivered in 2D and 3D. We offer a fun set of challenges to present user access to essential material though logical and responsive user journeys. Embedded into the user experience both on and off-track, for us gameplay and UI work hand in hand as an essential part of the game experience, so you'll help shape player dynamics right at the heart of our game.
• Reporting to a lead engineer, you will take an active part in the game design process working with designers, UI artists and other teams. You will also:-
• Contribute to technical specifications and gameplay feature implementations
• Test and refine features and help automate feature testing
• Join with and support other programmers with the features and UI elements you work on, including networking, physics, graphics and audio
• Maintain existing code in gameplay and UI areas
Here's what you'll need, some or all of:
• C++ programming ability in Console and PC game development
• Appreciation of how UI and gameplay systems are implemented
• Knowledge of component-based game systems and data-driven design
• Understanding of finite state machines, object-oriented design and debugging tools
