Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating one of the boldest, most thrilling franchises in the racing genre to date? Look no further. Codemasters is home to the incredibly talented team who bring you the official Formula 1 series.

The talent behind the award-winning official Formula 1 game franchise, are looking for an Experienced Games Designer to join the live ops team, as they continue to evolve the series in exciting and meaningful ways following the recent launch of F1 2021.

You don't have to search far to experience epic racing, engrossing narrative and stunning visuals that the world-class team has brought to date. If you're ready for the next chapter in your career, then we have several exciting opportunities where you'll have the chance to create and shape the future of the F1 Series. We'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Creative Director, you would work within the diverse live ops team, being the key design contact and being an advocate for the player experience.
• You will write design specifications for new features.
• You will work with team members to come up with pragmatic solutions to issues found by the community, verifying that work implemented by the team meets design requirements.
• You will maintain content for ongoing design-owned systems such as store contents and seasonal content.
• Your success will be defined by the quantity and quality of content delivered to the players over the game's lifetime post-launch.

You will have:
• Experience of a full game dev cycle within a 'AAA' studio.
• Fantastic written, maths and Excel (can perform complex functions) skills.
• Skills with other tools (image manipulation, wireframing, flow diagrams) will also be considered valuable.
• Experience with at least one common game engine will be required, to demonstrate that you can learn to master a broad, linked toolset.
• Experience with source control is also required.
• Experience in either art or code field is useful.
• Experience working with analytics data would be advantageous, as would experience managing community feedback.

While you will work within a team of other developers, you can work self-sufficiently, without a large framework of other designers around them.

This role also offers a great deal of design autonomy, but with that comes the responsibility to look for opportunities to put the skills listed above to good use, in service of the game.
