Motive is looking for a Gameplay Designer focused on combat and AI to join our team on the early stages of a new AAA project. You will join a small team of designers reporting to the Lead Gameplay Designer.

Responsibilities :
• With direction from design leadership, create enemy designs and combat systems, developing them from concept to completion
• Work with other designers to ensure the combat experience is cohesive and fulfills the creative vision
• Work with animation, art, audio, design, programming, and visual effects on your features
• Create and maintain features and content using our in-house tools
• Prototype features and content to answer questions and prove the design
• Write design documents
• Communicate elements of the game's design to the team
• Review the game against the design goals and identify issues and opportunities to improve the player experience
• Give and take feedback from across the team

Qualifications :
• 2+ years of experience developing games
• Experience working on enemy AI, combat systems, or bosses
• Experience working hands-on with a game engine or programming language
• Knowledge of recent action games and the ability to apply insights from them
