Committed to supporting our games with the creation of amazing Content, the EA Create Characters team enriches players' experience with a cast of characters and variety of character accessories such full body outfits, hair and headgear.

We are looking for an accomplished and experienced Character Artist to join an established team, in partnership with DICE, to work on the next BATTLEFIELD. The Character Artist is a creative role working with diverse teams to achieve visual excellence for the content and experiences you will help create.

EA expects and needs our external partners to achieve the same quality as our Create Art teams. It is the role of Models and Accessories Artists to partner with the Art Leads, External Development Art Director, team leads and Tech-Artists to help push quality and new ideas, and to help promote processes and training for our external partners.

Day to Day:
• Content reviews and feedback, ensuring content quality meets targets.
• Work with multiple studio Art Directors and leads to understand the content vision, direction, and quality expectations.
• Participate in relevant art review meetings.
• Finalize content to ensure quality requirements are met
• Integration of external content into the game engine
• Ready to work from home or travel domestically and internationally as travel restrictions and safety precautions allow.
• Create detailed briefs with an accurate sense of time duration and work breakdown structures.
• Ability to travel to partner studios or OS vendors on multi-week visits to kick off the engagement, train external artists, and to learn from and work with the game team.
• For this role you will report to Project Managers and Art Director

Who You Are:
• Your are an Artist with 3+ years of 3D production experience in Character asset work (Hard Surface knowledge is also a benefit).
• You know industry standard 3D applications and general workflows Example: Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter - High poly, Low poly, UV and texturing practices.
• You understand WGLL (What Good Looks Like) from a AAA perspective on the Art Direction and Design.
• You have experience communicating across multiple teams and managing expectations from multiple partners, or teammates from varied locations.
• You are familiar with PBR materials and applications.
• You have experience creating briefs and organize packages for external partners.
• You have experience providing feedback for not only characters, but also some hard surface related work.
• You have experience working in new engines and know how to integrate content.
• You are Familiar with full production from concept ideation through final modeling and integration.
• You are able to work from home, or travel domestically and internationally, as travel restrictions and safety precautions allow.
• Above all, we need someone who has passion, valorizes team-work and works well with others, as this will be a collaborative role.
