About the Position: 

Reporting to the Senior Benefits Manager, you will have benefits and wellbeing program administration responsibilities and will be the main contact for employees. A focus on accuracy, and exceptional customer service skills will be a necessity to respond to employee inquiries, reconcile statements or invoices and coordinate benefits with insurance carriers.

Key Accountabilities:
• Manage the administration of EA’s health and welfare plans across Canada, including provincial healthcare and temporary coverage for new residents
• You will help administer EA’s North American retirement programs
• You will manage the administration of other global benefit and wellbeing programs
• Operate as first contact for employees regarding any benefits inquiries and handle all issues confidentially
• Coordinate and facilitate benefits orientation and support enrollment for new and existing employees
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claims resolution, and reconciliation of monthly billing statements, including troubleshooting data or employee issues
• Verify and submit monthly billings, invoices, and maintain reconciliation spreadsheets
• You will oversee data maintenance, integrity and regular data audits
• Respond to Payroll/HR inquiries regarding benefits
• Perform quarterly audits against insurance company reports and HRIS records
• Coordinate and promote events such as retirement education, vendor info sessions, and the annual flu clinics
• Help coordinate and organize onsite quarterly benefits events with the Wellbeing team as well as participate in Wellbeing fairs
• Prepare, post and promote employee communications
• Maintain employee benefits portals in both English and French
• Maintain benefits procedures, materials and insurance documents
• Help with global projects where necessary
• Provide vacation coverage for leave of absence administrator, helping prepare paperwork, coordinate claims, update systems and communicate with all partners
• Additional responsibilities or different responsibilities may be assigned at discretion of manager.

Qualifications & Competencies:
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the HR/Benefits field
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar role
• Manage multiple requests with different timelines for delivery
• Build relationships with all colleagues and external partners
• Ability to define and solve problems by using and critical thinking, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
• Excel at completing tasks with defined timelines and a fluctuating workload
• HRIS experience i.e. Workday
• Proficient MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
• Language Requirement: must be fluent in English.
