We are looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of analysts who will shape Criterion's future through data and insights. You will be most successful when you can guide a team of experts who merge statistical skills with game knowledge to create incredible player experiences. Responsibilities
• You will report directly to the Analytics Director for EA's European Studios.
• Build a team culture that breaks down barriers, builds bridges and challenges convention with a theme of collaboration.
• Coach the analytics team to be stronger and more versatile, to allow efficient and healthy production. Grow your team's technical and soft skills.
• Motivate your team though inspirational leadership, engage them to create an enjoyable and energising work experience.
• Plan, prioritise and communicate your team's direction and strategy.
• Support the studio management to ensure that analytics deliverables are scoped and delivered as expected.
• Foster a data-driven culture at the studio to ensure that data is at the heart of decisions the and the game design process.
• Manage relationships with studio partners, monitor franchise performance and communicate risks, new opportunities and industry trends.
• Lead staffing and recruitment to grow the team.
• Conduct performance reviews and salary discussions.
Qualifications / Skills
• A Master's Degree in a numerate science (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics).
• Experience (3yrs+) managing teams or experience managing remote teams.
• Experience working in an agile environment – Sprints, Kanban is a plus.
• A passion for games and a curiosity for understanding how things work.
• To tell stories with data using data visualisation tools such as Looker. Not just how to make a dashboard, rather how to make one that explains your message in the 10 seconds the average viewer has to look at it.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) and big data solutions (i.e. Hadoop/Hive) is essential.
• Experience with a statistical toolkit (i.e. Python/Pandas, R, Spark,).
• You are an experienced mentor who can empower the team.
