3D Outsourcing Artist

The 3D Outsourcing Artist is a creative role focusing on the art content with external vendors for one or multiple projects. The role works closely with the OS Art Manager, OS Art Coordinator, and other OS Artists to manage vendor assets. Responsibilities include finalizing art assets, taking part in art content reviews and feedback, and working with the internal and external teams to deliver art content. This role will report to our Studio Art Line Director. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options, and welcome full-time remote candidates who are within a three hour time difference to the Pacific Time Zone to apply.

Responsibilities:
• Support the outsourcing team in reviewing and providing feedback on external art content
• Support the outsourcing team in creating packages for external production
• Review and critically evaluate assets on intake
• Art asset intake and polish
• Participate in relevant art review meetings
• Ability to create content for seasonal releases on a cyclical basis
• Help coordinate vendor communication to internal team
• Gather references and assist in the look development process as tasked by the Outsourcing Coordinator and Outsourcing Art Manager
• Take part in vendor testing
• Support external art training and documentation
• Support the Outsourcing team in addressing quality issues and concerns

Requirements:
• 3-5 years 3D experience
• Understanding of industry standards, 3D applications, general workflows with Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter
• Great communication skills
• Understanding of best practices including providing feedback in Shotgrid
• Able to set up vendor packages
• Able to provide feedback for art assets
• Able to adapt to the engine and integrate content
• Able to travel
• Positive attitude and work well with others
