Job Description

Responsibilities
• Pitch story ideas – especially those focused on celebrity videos and photos
• Light writing for the show
• Organize and convert photos for air
• Responsible for getting all show photos to studio and getting visuals to air during taping
• Pitch and produce fun games for the show – especially those with a focus on celebrity images
• Keep an eye out for new celebrity trends
• Research and fact check stories
• Coordinate with legal and other departments on stories when necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years experience preferred in broadcast news, video production, or related internship

Eligibility Requirement:
• Willingness to work in Los Angeles, CA
• Willing to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• Covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of iNews is a plus
• Experience working with photo teams and agencies also a plus
• Control room experience
• Good people and problem-solving skills
• Strong pop culture knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Capable of handling intense deadlines and multi-tasking
• Excellent research skills; demonstrated creativity, responsibility and organizational abilities a must
• Organized, responsible, accurate, able to work well under pressure and without constant supervision
• Team-oriented
• Hours must be flexible to accommodate breaking news
