Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with the DreamWorks Animation Post Production Engineering team providing technical support services, integration and maintenance for the studio's Editorial and Post Production services.
DreamWorks Animation is looking for a candidate who is excited by working with content creators, new technology and partnering with Post Production, Animation Technology and DreamWorks Production teams. Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Feature and TV Animation editorial teams.
• Perform editorial system support and maintenance.
• Work closely with Network Operations and Information/Content Security teams
• Handle on premise and remote editorial support.
• Shared storage configuration and implementation.
• Support and maintain color grading systems.
• Aid in the calibration of color critical SDR and HDR displays including digital cinema projectors.
• Support and implement remote editorial collaboration workflows and tools.
• Build/rebuild, install OS/apps and configure editor's workstations.
• Train editors on various aspects of editing workflows and system tools.
• Editorial suite audio calibration and sync adjustments.
• Support for scratch dialog recording space.
• Periodic availability after hours is required.
• Software and operational support for Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Avid Protools, Avid Nexis, Windows OS, MAC OS, Autodesk Lustre/Flame and Resolve.
• Aid with editor relocations within the studio.
• Support Audio and Video peripherals in editorial and various machine rooms.
• Transfer bay encoding support.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 5 years editorial and post support related experience.
• Must be willing to work in Glendale, CA.
• Must show knowledge of implementing shared storage solutions such as Avid NEXIS or StorNext.
• Avid MediaCentral platform.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking.
• Familiar and displays knowledge of color science with regard to display and cinema projection applications.
• Solid knowledge of file formats and codecs including mastering and security related tools: May include Clipster, Colorfront Transcoder, Nexguard, Mediaseal, SHIFT/Mediasilo and Telestream tools.
• Familiar with SCCM and MS Active Directory.
