Responsibilities
The Assistant Production Accountant is responsible for processing crew payroll, making SAG voice actor payments, processing vendor payments, and preparing related journal entries.
Responsibilities:
• • • Process weekly EP union payroll for Themed Entertainment, Editorial, Development, Shorts, and various Gap overhead departments
• Print and distribute weekly crew timecards
• Transfer crew to designated shows based on TIPS and Staffing Profile
• Onboard crew from other shows or new hires
• Process Accounts Payable invoices, including Vendor Setup
• Process SAG payroll for voice actor payments
• Prepare weekly payroll journal entries as well as monthly and quarterly cost allocation JE's
• Prepare Start paperwork for new employees and Term paperwork for exiting employees
• Provide support to Production Finance team regarding invoice payment, GL coding, A/P vendor setup, and resolution of SNAP payment issues
• Maintain Master Occupation Code Tracker
• Maintain clear, professional, and timely communications at all times, both written and verbal
Qualifications/Requirements
• At least one year of Payroll accounting experience, working with Entertainment Partners preferred
• Working knowledge of union pay requirements (e.g. Local 839, Local 700, SAG)
Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of Animation process/Animation industry experience
• Experience with EP's digital platforms a plus (e.g. ''SmartTime'' and ''SmartStart'')
• Comfortable working in Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, flexible, team player
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of confidential payroll data
